Brief history
It all began with a vision.

MyVoltage was founded in 2017 by Nic Bernard. As a Qualified Chartered Accountant, who has held multiple CEO and CFO positions at numerous technology and property services companies during his career, Nic developed a passion for the critical role of technology within the property industry.

He identified a need for a “homegrown” holistic smart metering solution for the South African utility market. Based on his solid understanding of the metering industry and the challenges faced daily, MyVoltage was founded.

MyVoltage is the answer to the utility problems faced by customers and end-users alike.

Then and now
We have a come a long way...

Initially, MyVoltage focused on the residential market. We provided an integrated solution, which offered the end-user a single platform from which to track, bill and pay for the electricity and water used daily.

In 2018, the business expanded into the commercial market and started providing integrated rental collection and smart utility billing for shopping centres.  Since 2019, companies like Afrox, Primedia Outdoor and Nedbank, to name a few, have turned to us for all their smart metering needs.
