Pay-as-you-go - Unipin

A UniPIN voucher can be purchased from an electricity vendor such as Shoprite, Checkers, Spar, Engen/Shell garage and is then redeemed using a mobile phone. Once redeemed, the amount purchased will be added to your available credit.

The voucher is redeemed using the your mobile phone at a time and place convenient to you. All you need to do is send a USSD request following the instructions on the UniPIN Voucher following these easy steps:

  1. Look for your 9 digit pin number on the voucher:

  2. On your mobilephone, dial *120*41589*PIN*MeterNumber# and now press ‘Call’/Dial’ (Remember, your 9 digit PIN number is the PIN number on the UniPIN slip. Your meter number the 11 digit electricity meter number provided to you on registration.

  3. A Message will display informing you that you request will be processed and your token will be sent to you via sms.

  4. Your will receive a token via SMS that will display your 20 digit token number. This number is entered into your meter box to increase your electricity units.

Please note:

You must always ensure that when you redeem you UniPIN, that you use the correct meter number. Once a UniPIN has been redeemed, the sale is final and the transaction generated will be for the meter number the request was sent through. Meter numbers that we incorrectly submitted cannot be reversed or refunded.

 
    1. Can I use any cellphone and any network to redeem my UniPIN? Yes, all cellphones and all networks in South Africa is supported.

    2. What is the cost of the *120* USSD string when I redeem my UniPIN? The cost of the USSD session is 20c across all networks

    3. How long is a UniPIN valid for? A UniPIN is valid for 1 year.

    4. What denominations are available for UniPIN? UniPIN comes in the following denominations: R20, 30, 50 , 100, 200, 250, 500 and R1000.

    5. I have redeemed my voucher using the *120* USSD string but I have not received any response from UniPIN. Simply sms us your UniPIN serial number and your meter number to 43471 or email us on support@myunipin.co.za

    6. Who do I contact should I have trouble redeeming my UniPIN? You can sms us on 43471, or email us at support@myunipin.co.za. Always remember to send us your UniPIN Serial number as well as your meter number to expedite your query. This service is available 24/7, 365.

    7. How long does it take for the token to be sent back to me? You should receive your sms within 15-20 seconds.

    8. How many times do I need to request my voucher in order for me to receive my token. You only need to redeem the UniPIN once. If you do not receive your token, please contact our support desk.

    9. What do I do if I have submitted the wrong meter number? Please be very careful when entering your *120* string when redeeming your UniPIN. Once a token has been processed, the token will only be able to work on the requesting meter number, and the supplier will not be able to refund or reverse any tokens processed.

Secure online payments - Netcash

My Voltage is integrated with Netcash, as a secure and reliable online payment gateway. Netcash is PCI Level 1 compliant and all credit card transactions are 3D secure enabled. They follow strict standards to ensure your data is kept safe. You do not require a merchant account in order to make use of any of the Pay Now payment options.

Yes, credit card holders can return or dispute credit card transactions up to 180 days after the transaction has taken place.

  2. Ozow Instant EFT: Ozow is an instant EFT payment service that allows your customer to make secure online payments directly from their bank account.

  3. Visa Click to Pay: You can pay for purchases by using your username and password rather than entering all your credit card information.

  4. Masterpass: Masterpass is a digital wallet product from Mastercard that allows customers to check out faster whether shopping in-store or online.

Automated EFT solution - Ozow

Ozow is the easy, premium, automated EFT solution that can be done in seconds while staying Ozow secure. Merchants can initiate Ozow payments through a variety of payment platforms such as SMS, eCommerce, eBilling or QR Code. The customer experience is enhanced through Ozow Easy, Ozow Fast and Ozow Secure features which ultimately benefits both the consumer and the seller.

Through our Ozow secure online payments service, customers are able to keep all personal and financial information and data safe, thereby significantly lowering the opportunity for Identity theft and fraud to occur online. Ozow has experienced a 0% fraud rate since its inception.

Because Ozow directs you to all your accounts via your internet banking profile, the need for a physical card is bypassed, allowing you to access your credit account directly, therefore you cannot make payments with a credit card.

Electronic funds transfer (EFT) is the electronic transfer of money from one bank account to another, either within a single bank or across multiple banks, through computer-based systems and without the direct intervention of the bank’s staff. Instant/Automated EFT is a type of payment service that allows you to pay via EFT, without the inconvenience of a waiting period, and in some cases additional fees.

  1. Select Ozow as your payment option during checkout.
  2. Select your bank from the list presented.
  3. Log in to your online banking using your online banking credentials.
  4. Select an account to pay from.
  5. Your bank will send you a form of payment authentication either by means of SMS, USSD Push message or In-App authorisation.
  6. Once you have successfully authorised your payment, the transaction is marked as complete.
  7. Ozow sends a notification to the merchant on the outcome of the transaction and in turn, the merchant will process your order immediately.

Their Thawte Certificate enables Ozow to offer the utmost levels of security to merchants and customers alike, ensuring that all messages travelling between the browser and Ozow are encrypted.

 

Also, Ozow trusted and verified sites present a green notification flag in their address bar, so customers do not have to be concerned about whether their information can be accessed or viewed.
