Frequently asked questions

Recharge my account

To use the Netcash online payment gateway, visit www.netcash.co.za and register to create your account. Once registered, you’ll receive a username and password for your online account. To add funds, simply use the “Recharge” option in our Client Zone, which you’ll find in the main navigation pane.

The Netcash platform is safe, convenient, and secure.

Yes, it is secure. Our platform integrates with the OZOW payment gateway for EFT transactions, ensuring your payments are safe and protected. When making a payment, you’ll be redirected to OZOW's secure portal, which follows strict security protocols. Once your payment is complete, you’ll be redirected back to the MyVoltage platform to continue
your activities.

There are 0% (zero) charges to you as user when using this option. Add funds to your account following these steps:

1. Navigate to the Recharge option on the main navigation panel.
2. On the Recharge page, choose the Secure Netcash Payment Option.
3. Enter your top-up amount and click the Make a Payment button.
4. This will open the Netcash payment gateway window.
5. Enter your email address and cellphone number.
6. Be sure to choose the Instant EFT with Ozow option to make a payment via Ozow.

The payment will be automatically allocated to your account.

Traditional EFT payments will not appear on your statement immediately. They will only be processed once the funds clear in our bank account, which can take up to 3 business days. Payments made over the weekend will be processed on the following Monday or once the funds clear.

Key Points to Remember:

  • Only standard EFTs are accepted. Instant payments will not be processed and will be
    returned to you.
  • Proof of payment won’t speed up the process, and it doesn’t guarantee service reconnection. Please make your EFT payments early to ensure they are processed before your account runs out of funds.
  • Use the correct reference number from your profile to avoid delays. MyVoltage is not responsible for service interruptions caused by incorrect reference numbers. You can find your reference number when you click on the Recharge button on your navigation pain and
then click on the EFT payment option. Your unique reference number will be under the payment details.

For Instant Wallet Top-Ups:

We recommend using Netcash Payment Options for faster processing:

  • Ozow Payment: This is the best option with no extra fees. Payments are processed instantly, so your credits are available right away. Ozow is a trusted provider that ensures your security.
  • Credit Card Payment: There’s a 10% convenience fee, but your Wallet is topped up instantly. Netcash is secure and PCI Level 1 compliant, ensuring that all transactions are safe.

Technical Errors:

If any payment option is unavailable due to a technical issue, it is a Netcash issue, not a MyVoltage error. For assistance, please contact Netcash directly.

Please be informed that Traditional EFT payments will not immediately reflect on your statement and will only be allocated once the funds have cleared in the bank account, a process that may take 1 to  3business days. Payments made over the weekend will be allocated on the following Monday or when funds are cleared.

Key points to consider:

  • Only standard EFT payments are accepted; instant payments will not be processed and will be returned.
  • Submitting proof of payment does not accelerate the allocation process and does not entitle you to demand reconnection. It is essential to initiate EFT payments well in advance to ensure timely allocation before your account runs out of funds.
  • To ensure accurate allocation, please use the correct reference number as provided on your profile. MyVoltage will not be held responsible for service interruptions resulting from delays in payment allocation due to the use of an incorrect reference.

Rather use Secure Netcash Payment Options for instant Wallet replenishment.

There are two sub-options within this category:

  • Ozow Payment This is the preferred choice, with no convenience fees. Your payment reflects immediately in your wallet, ensuring no waiting time for your credits to be available. Ozow is a trusted Systems Operator and Third-Party Payments Provider, guaranteeing security and peace of mind.
  • Credit Card Payment While this option charges a 10% convenience fee, it also ensures instant wallet replenishment. Netcash is PCI Level 1 Compliant, and all credit card transactions are 3D secure enabled, adhering to strict data security standards.

Technical errors

Please note that if any of these options are unavailable due to a technical error, it is a Netcash issue and not a MyVoltage error. For further assistance, please contact Netcash.

We offer an Instant Netcash Ozow EFT option at no cost to you. However, if you choose to transfer funds through one of our partners, such as Unpin or a credit card payment, a 10% convenience fee will apply.

This fee covers the costs incurred by financial service providers for processing your payment. These providers charge MyVoltage fees to transfer funds from retail locations to your account. Additionally, reconciling these payments involves extra support costs. The 10% fee helps us cover these expenses.

Other service providers may charge between 10% and 20% with no option to avoid their fees.

If you want to avoid the 10% convenience fee, you can always use the Netcash Ozow Instant EFT
option, which you can select by clicking on the Netcash Payment options button on your Recharge
page in the Client Zone. Alternatively, you can use the traditional EFT option.

No, we do not offer the option to set up a fixed or varying monthly amount via a bank debit order.

Funds transferred to your online Wallet account via Instant EFT do not expire and can be used as needed.

We also provide low balance notifications to alert you when it’s time to recharge your account.
